GenMce – Redux 0.88.3

Generic Mackie Control Emulator

Main display

LCD display emualtion – thanks dorfl68!

What is it?

GenMce - Redux  is a (pc only), midi translator.
It t
ranslates your (hardware) midi controller, into an approximation of the mixer section of a Mackie Control Universal. (mcu)
*It is not a mackie (tm them).
It is designed to allow you to use your midi controller to it's maximum potential in your audio, and possibly video creative projects without having to reprogram your controller.

  • Most host/daw software (Ableton Live/Cubase/Sonar/Logic/Reaper … etc) supports mcu as a control surface. Meaning you can control faders, pans and other parts of software in groups of 8 – without having to map them in host.

  • GenMce lets you do this as well, without having to reprogram your controller. You just enter your controller information into the setup for each control you want to use. That's it. You can bank to as many tracks as you have and still control them.

You need a virtual midi port – like midiyoke or maple.

*Make sure you start GenMce – Redux before starting your host/daw.  rtfm.  See readme also for quick quide of controls.

Buy me a beverage if you use it, read the EULA.

Download Genmce 0.88.3 (352) (June 17, 2011)

Klinke's plugin for Reaper recommended for advanced functions.

The program lets you play a midi instrument from the computer keyboard and record a sequence of notes or a simple tune (like the C*siotone) with a basic note and chord editor. There is also a basic percussion facility and metronome.
